Service Technician

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be part of a skilled service team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating Rainin pipettes and related equipment. Your day may include:

  • Diagnosing instrument issues with a mix of curiosity and precision
  • Performing repairs, maintenance, and calibrations according to our quality standards
  • Documenting service activities with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ensuring every instrument shipped back to customers performs like new
  • Learning new techniques and tools that support our evolving service operations

You’ll play a key role in keeping our customers' labs running smoothly — and protecting the integrity of the experiments that happen there.

What You Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot small, precision instruments
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and accurately document service activities
  • Basic proficiency with computers and data entry
  • Good hand–eye coordination and comfort working with small components
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage assigned workloads efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in instrument repair, manufacturing, electronics, or a similar hands‑on technical role
  • Familiarity with calibration, quality control, or service‑center workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, service manuals, and SOPs
  • Experience working in a regulated or quality‑driven environment (e.g., ISO, GMP)
