Sr. Quality Engineer (CQE required)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Our Senior Quality Engineer will lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals, particularly focusing on New Product Development Introduction (NPDI), New Product Development Initiatives (NADI), projects, pilot studies, and verification/validation activities. The role ensures quality is deeply integrated into product and process designs, driving a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across R&D, product management, and manufacturing functions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Integrating Design for Quality principles by incorporating quality requirements into product and process designs to minimize defects. 
  • Conducting quality reviews and gate checks at different NPDI stages to verify quality readiness. 
  • Providing guidance on creating documented Control Plans outlining process controls to maintain quality. 
  • Identifying and analyzing quality gaps and developing actionable quality improvement plans. 
  • Facilitating cross-functional collaboration among R&D, product management, manufacturing, and other teams to ensure quality objectives are met. 
  • Monitoring quality metrics and performance indicators to guide continuous quality improvement. 
  • Participating in root cause investigations and implementing preventative measures. 
  • Utilizing quality tools (e.g., FMEA, CAPA, RCA, 8D, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, GEMBA walks) to help teams systematically identify issues, analyze causes, and implement improvements. 
  • Facilitating design reviews and validations to catch potential issues early in product and process development.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or related technical field. 
  • CQE certification and minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance and quality improvement, preferably within product development environments. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma (DMAIC), Lean, FMEA, Ishikawa/Fishbone, CAPA, RCA, 8D, PDCA, and 5S. 
  • Proficient in using quality tools, including QFD and DOE. 
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 9001:2015, 17025, NIST, ANSI).
