Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As Manager - Software Development, for our division in Coimbatore or Bangalore, India you will act as a Technical Delivery Manager and lead a team of experienced engineers in supporting the Research & Development in software design and development projects.

  • In your role as a Manager - Software, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Understand stakeholders’ needs and priorities for software program development and delivery.
  • Prioritize work across projects and manage the project portfolio.
  • Apply entrepreneurial thinking and be the single point of contact for the project portfolio.
  • Create sense of ownership, quality in the team and enable program deliveries.
  • Achieve cost, time and quality goals defined for project portfolio. 
  • Be accountable for managing all aspects of risk, issues, and dependencies in the portfolio.
  • Measure and improve project(s) performance indicators using appropriate tools and techniques. 
  • Demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills. 
  • Build and manage a team of high-performing engineers.
  • Ensure schedule and quality commitments are met.
  • Attract, retain, and build top-notch engineering, technical and functional talent.
  • Lead and mentor team through complex customer requirement implementations.
  • Enable continuous learning and improvement by practicing Lean management and agile principles.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and coaching skills.
  • Work closely with stakeholders including Business / Product Owners, Development, and Management teams. 
  • Emphasize engineering best practices, delivering value, and data driven decision making.
  • Focus on delivering business value from the overall program.
  • Keep yourself and the team updated with latest industry developments.

What You Need to Succeed
What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science / Electronics or related field.
  • 12 to 20 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering or Software Development Manager role
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Good understanding about requirements management process and tools
  • Good understanding about Architecture and design of Software products
  • Working experience in desktop and web-based application development
  • Strong knowledge on metrics-based management, stakeholder, and Cost management
  • Working experience in Scrum, Scaled Agile, Rapid prototyping, Iterative development.
  • Good understand about Risk and dependency management. 
  • Close working experience with business teams / customers for at least 5 years
  • Good understanding about DevOps, CI/CD pipeline
  • Good understanding of application security. 
  • Experience working with code repositories such as GitHub / TFS-GIT
  • Experience in working with Global / distributed team. 

Nice to have skill / experience:
  • Working experience in/with international companies for at least 5 years
  • Strong domain knowledge in Laboratory software and instruments
  • Knowledge in regulatory areas like the GMP, CFR21P11, ISO270001 and ISO9001.
  • Knowledge of instrument service workflows and embedded development.
  • Knowledge of Static application security testing (SAST).
  • Knowledge of Software composition analysis (SCA)
  • Cloud exposure or work experience (Azure/AWS/Google).
