Field Service Team Leader

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Field Service Team Leader, you will oversee regional field engineer schedules, service delivery components, evaluate engineer performance, service as a proficient technical resource, and mentor the team. You will conduct on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of our instrumentation and software products in support of the service team goals. Additional responsibilities will include: 
  • Maintaining the "Trusted Advisor" role for all customer interactions by delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrating exemplary customer relations skills to enhance customer satisfaction, partnerships, and loyalty. 
  • Acting as the first line supervision and management of field service engineers, which includes- 
    • Reviewing and approving work hours, overtime, and time off. 
    • Evaluating performance and the ability to safely deliver a quality service product. 
    • Providing feedback to management for field service engineer training requirements. 
    • Reacting to customer feedback for team responsiveness, service delivery, and quality. 
    • Ensuring field service engineers understand and comply with all administrative processes and submissions (timecards, DSM assignments, Pacs, expense reports). 
  • Managing assigned field service and support obligations, including on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades of AutoChem instrumentation and software for infrared reaction profiling, crystallization monitoring, automated lab reactors, and sampling solution systems.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Education ideally in a chemical, electrical, or mechanical field. 
  • Knowledge of SAP. 
  • Ability to travel around 80% with the majority consisting of local travel. Location in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. Entire territory includes both Southeast and Southwest territories. 
    • Southeast- AL, AR, FL, FA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, PR 
    • Southwest- AZ, CO, KS, NE, NM, NV, OK, So-CA, TX, UT
