Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Are you a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and helping customers get the very best from their equipment? Join Mettler Toledo UK as a Field Service Technician and play a key role in supporting customers across laboratory and industrial environments. 

The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, calibrating, installing, and troubleshooting a range of laboratory and industrial equipment at customer sites. You will work directly with customers, providing expert technical support while ensuring equipment performance, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards. 
This is a field-based role covering an assigned territory. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain and calibrate customer equipment to maximise uptime and performance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment faults efficiently.
  • Install, commission and qualify new equipment at customer sites.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately in line with GMP and quality standards.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and build trusted advisor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, ISO9001 and GxP requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to support business growth through customer engagement.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through ongoing training
What You Need to Succeed
  • Qualification in an engineering, scientific or relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment in a technical role, such as Laboratory Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or Analytical Instrument Engineer. 
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers. 
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills. 
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
