    Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
    Role/Purpose:
    The Detector Supervisor is responsible for managing the operation of the metal detection repair and production build. Responsibilities include management of headcount, overtime, hiring, training, budgeting, cost containment, and continuous improvement activities.  
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • In addition to our core values all employees must follow the Code of Conduct
    • Recruiting, training and retention of a qualified and motivated team

    • Quality improvements
    • Provide timely and accurate performance evaluations
    • Ensure repair demands and new build production needs are met to satisfy our customers
    • Purchase tooling, supplies, or capital equipment necessary to perform tasks
    • Confirm assignments are completed per repair and production schedule
    • Control workflow to achieve targets and minimize costs
    • Ensure shop safety is strictly enforced 
    • Regulate and enforce 5s program
    • Implement continuous improvement processes
    • Establish & monitor department budgets
    • Achieve OTD, lead time, warranty, failure analysis, and quality goals
    • Develop reports and metrics to monitor individual performance to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved.   
    • Work cross collaboratively with other departments/ MOs/ and SBUs to ensure production demands are being met to satisfy our customers. 
    • Other duties and tasks as assigned

    What You Need to Succeed
    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Extensive manufacturing environment skills and experience
    • Proficient blueprint knowledge
    • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
    • Managerial experience in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to motivate employees and create an environment that promotes teamwork
    • Ability to communicate with personnel in a tactful manner 
    • Ability to solve problems and make good decisions
    • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, laying, squat, bend, kneeling) for prolonged periods of time
    • Familiar with electronic repair techniques and equipment
    • Ability to communicate with cross collaborative team to overcome complex challenges
    • Proven track record of process improvements
    This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.


    Minimum Education / Experience Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a manufacturing/repair environment
    • Industrial engineering background a plus
