SCM Procurement Officer (Contract)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Main Purpose of the Role: To provide procurement expertise and assists stakeholder to plan, develop and manage procurement arrangement to effectively meet organization and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to issue purchase order to intercompany supplying plant and external vendor.
  • Responsible to monitor the shipment/material arrival and ensure timely delivery to customer.
  • Work with forwarder on custom clearance of the import shipment.
  • Notify/update stakeholder (salesperson/business/service) on the material lead time and arrival date.
  • Quality notification (QN) raise to intercompany supplying plant if any problem with the material received/shortfall.
  • Coordinate with intercompany supplying plant & customer on the drop shipment pickup arrangement and delivery.
  • Ad-hoc task assignment related to supply chain management.  
  • To ensure the shipment delivery to customer on time and meeting business objectives.
What You Need to Succeed
Technical Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

Mandatory:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in SCM procurement / buyer role or in any industry experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using SAP tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
