Job Overview:
The Data Governance Business Analyst acts as a process expert and is accountable for the design and effective implementation of Data Governance management and data administration processes. The DG Business Analyst is also accountable for coordination of numerous data lifecycle management processes and data migration processes per process area and/or data object with Customer, Sales, and Marketing master data focus. The role is responsible for design, implementation, training, documentation, and communication of these processes within the Data Governance team. That includes also activities on monitoring DG-related incidents and addressing the issues raised there in timely manner. This position has a direct impact on the overall ability to achieve high quality master data within METTLER TOLEDO.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and owns data lifecycle management processes; understands and applies business requirements and change requests within these processes
  • Defines roles and responsibilities of data lifecycle management processes; agrees service level agreements with business for defined processes
  • Facilitates training and provides training materials for data lifecycle management processes
  • Shows strong ownership of driven changes, supporting implementation/delivery and making sure that change properly goes through its lifecycle
  • Owns and approves data validations to enforce compliance with rules, standards, and guidelines during data migration and daily business operations
  • Establishes the data quality monitoring processes, metrics, and key performance indicators for specific data objects; Monitors incidents and changes and if needed also other DG-related services provided by third party companies
  • Manages and approves changes to all transformation processes and tools, including value mapping, data preparation, and data de-duplication
  • Analyses all data related requirements or change requests for projects, roll-ins, and business units ; modifies the data lifecycle management processes and/or data migration processes as necessary
  • Creates solution design and provide necessary functional support to developers while implementation
  • Ensures a “knowledge-sharing” culture by effective communication, training, and documentation; Maintains effective relationships with internal team members, business and project process teams, and IT application teams
What You Need to Succeed
  • Education Background: Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Min. 2 years’ experience in Data Governance or related field
  • Good knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP CRM
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; required in functional teams and with business partners
  • Structured, detailed working methodology; continuous improvement approach and process oriented
  • Understands and respects different cultures
  • Likes to work in a Global and fast moving environment (moderate travel (approx. 15%) may appear)
  • English: advanced
