Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a motivated Technical Author to join our Product Management team on a full-time basis for a 12-months maternity cover. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing technical documentation for our products and services. The ideal candidate for this role will be self-driven, organized, and passionate about writing and technology.

What You'll Do

Develop technical documentation and user manuals that comply with METTLER TOLEDO guidelines and templates.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as user manuals and operation manuals.
Work closely with subject matter experts to understand product features and translate them into clear and concise documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, R&D, and Service, to ensure accuracy and completeness of the documentation.
Participate in documentation review and approval processes with cross-functional teams.
Manage translation process for documents with external translation company.
Use ST4 Schema to organise and update technical content (fragments, tables, graphical images).
Ensure new or amended documentation is distributed via SAP, Teamcenter, online, eDocs, internal network.

What You Need to Succeed

Technical writing experience in industry
Proven experience developing a range of technical publications across a range of media
Working knowledge and understanding of Content Management Systems
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) & Adobe Pro
Experience developing multi-lingual documentation across a range of media
Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and skills
