- Implement agile methodologies to streamline R&D processes, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes across software and hardware projects.
- Product Development and Innovation (30%)
- Drive the development of new products and iterative improvements, balancing hardware reliability with software functionality to meet market needs.
- Foster innovation by identifying and integrating emerging technologies into product roadmaps, encouraging cross-disciplinary ideation.
- Collaborate with global teams to align product development with company strategic goals, ensuring scalability and adaptability.
- Integrated Software and Hardware System Development (20%)
- Lead the design and integration of software and hardware architectures for high-precision inspection systems (e.g., X-ray and check-weighers), ensuring seamless system performance.
- Oversee the development of interfaces and protocols that enable efficient collaboration between software and hardware components.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and safety, aligning with global regulatory requirements.
- Quality and Compliance Oversight (10%)
- Establish and maintain quality assurance processes for both hardware and software deliverables, ensuring robust product performance and reliability.
- Lead efforts to achieve global certifications and regulatory approvals, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of existing products through technical support and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic Planning and Execution (10%)
- Define and iterate the R&D organization’s strategic roadmap, aligning software and hardware advancements with long-term company objectives.
- Lead transformative initiatives to enhance R&D efficiency, integrating best practices in software and hardware development.
- Promote a culture of agility, innovation, and accountability within POPI R&D team.
- Education:
- Master’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with a software-related background (e.g., Computer Science or Software Engineering) must demonstrate significant experience and expertise in hardware circuit design.
- Professional Skills:
- Expertise in hardware circuit design, including PCB layout, signal integrity, and analog/digital circuit development.
- Working knowledge of embedded software development and host application design (e.g., familiarity with C/C++ or RTOS).
- Ability to oversee the integration of hardware and software components to deliver cohesive, high-performance systems.
- Deep proficiency in hardware circuit design, with the ability to lead hardware development projects.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, enabling effective collaboration with software teams.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and global regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, or OIML).
- Knowledge of agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) to enhance team productivity. (Optimal)
- Decision-Making: Ability to make informed technical and strategic decisions, balancing hardware and software priorities.
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration across hardware and software disciplines.
- Global Communication: Fluent in English, with experience working in multinational environments.
