Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
If you’re a strategic thinker who can influence global teams, drive efficiencies and preserve brand identity, come shape the future of our software!

As our Senior Software Architect, you’ll lead and unite software teams across two brands, owning the full software lifecycle—from early sales and system definition through design, development, deployment and production support. You'll work closely with client R&D teams and external partners in a collaborative, client‑facing role that accelerates both your technical and commercial leadership.

This strategic, UK‑based role bridges our R&D hubs in the UK, Germany and China. You’ll evaluate and steer two major existing architectures, define the roadmap for new features, and architect the next‑generation X‑ray software platform.

You’ll manage a diverse portfolio including: customer‑facing applications, advanced X‑ray imaging and processing algorithms, embedded firmware and production and R&D tools

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse, map, and deeply understand the mechanics of our two current major software architectures to ensure continuity and structural alignment.
  • Formulate strategic roadmaps to seamlessly integrate new software features and advanced functionalities into the existing software ecosystem without compromising stability.
  • Vision and architect the next-generation software platform, ensuring a future-proof framework for our evolving product lines.
  • Develop system architectures and high-level product specifications to create robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Develop layered software architectures that enable agile collaboration at different levels to facilitate quick iteration on new solutions.
  • Work within an Agile collaboration framework (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM).
  • Engage with colleagues as a mentor, sharing skills and experience.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Ability to tackle complex problems, drive architecture to delivery, and lead effectively.
  • Proven ability to develop visionary strategies, roadmaps, and forward-looking plans.
  • Strategically skilled in influencing and persuading global teams across diverse functions without direct authority.
  • Commercial development experience in languages like C/C++, C#, Python, .NET, Java, SQL.
  • Domain experience in at least one of:
-Application software (industrial automation, networking protocols, UI frameworks, IT systems)
