Junior Release Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan and manage release events ranging from large or smaller improvements, via infrastructure changes including patching, to everyday fixes. You will be engaged in technical aspects of delivery (e.g. transport management, technical cutovers, etc), as well as the planning aspect of the same. Your tasks will vary from release coordination, technical transport management, conflict identification on technical object level and troubleshooting. You will be acting as a gatekeeper for release management processes, focusing on delivering a smooth and seamless transition into production, minimizing service risk for our business and customers.

Your main tasks:
  • Technically manages the deployment of the solution across our landscapes (utilizing CHARM, BitBucket, Jenkins like tools),
  • Bundles individual changes into the relevant releases (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly),
  • Communicates release management relevant deadlines to delivery teams,
  • Manages operational communication related to ongoing release: Communicate plans, timelines, requirements to SAFe Product Teams and stakeholders,
  • Provides input for the business communication related to ongoing release,
  • Manages the cooperation with external technical teams,
  • Prepares analysis related to release management specific KPIs,
  • Pro-actively identifying blockers and impediments in Release Management Area,
  • Work on process improvements, including LEAN Initiatives and basic scripting (using no-code tools such as UI Path),
  • Cooperation of the external partners (service providers, audits),
  • Leads preparation of annual release calendar and facilitates integration planning events.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Gained release management experience (2-3 years expected),
  • Hands on experience with SAP transport management tools (like CHARM),
  • Knowledge and practical experience in Agile and/or SCRUM approach,
  • Fluent English (written and spoken), candidate is used to communicating in English, as well to working with variety of different nationalities,

  • Programming skills,
  • Practical knowledge of working with SAP transport management and cutover experience,
  • Open and trustworthy personality - can easily communicate to different seniority levels,
  • Attention to detail, lean and improvement seeking mind-set.
