This position is responsible for managing end-to-end process of talent acquisition in Japan and fulfilling the regular and temporary positions in timely manner. The position requires high level of coordination and communication among all the stakeholders in recruiting process. In the end the TA Specialist/Mgr will make significant contributions to business growth and to enhance the brand image of Mettler Toledo - Japan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defining the job scope with hiring managers and sell the position to recruiting agents/external candidates
- Work closely with HR Manager and hiring managers to identify the job scopes and required skills & experience for successful candidates.
- Develop strategies to fulfill each position within the limited timeline.
- Communicate the profile of ideal candidates and attractiveness of the position to relevant recruiting agents.
- Continuous improvement of JD to accelerate the collection of CVs.
- Guide hiring managers to create good quality of JD and/or to give good presentation of the position at the introduction of the job to recruiting agents.
- Continual self-education of Mettler Toledo business and market insights.
- Develop candidate pipelines
- Work closely with recruiting agencies, HR Manager and hiring manager to collect candidates as quickly as possible.
- In case of issues in developing the good size of candidate pool, identify the reasons based on the input from recruiting agents.
- Organize the meetings with hiring managers and discuss/propose solutions to overcome the challenges.
- Quickly proceed the CV screening and interviews
- Conduct the first CV screening. Then ask hiring manager’s review in timely manner.
- For the candidates to proceed, arrange interviews with relevant interviewers.
- Follow-up with the hiring manager after each interview and share the feedback with the recruiting agents. In unsuccessful cases, identify the issues and improve the quality of the candidates in the way forward.
- Closing
- Handle the offer process. Work with recruiting agent closely to achieve high acceptance rate.
- Handle inquiries from agents regarding the offer conditions.
- Hand over the information of new hires to HR admin staff. Input the record to HCM.
- Follow-up the candidates before the joining date.
- Direct sourcing
- Launch “Direct sourcing" in MT-JP by collaborating with Global TA team.
- Branding
- Plan and execute the strategy to enhance the brand image of the company through the TA activities.
- Global TA tool
- Process all the recruiting activities through Avature to align with the global recruiting process.
- Guide the stakeholders to use the tool efficiently.
- If technical problem occurs, work with global IT team to solve problems.
- Analysis and reporting
- Status analysis - Review the progress based on the data in the DB, identify issues and propose actions to solve the problem.
- Prepare the hiring status report and report to the HR manager and GM.
- Finance report - Accrue the expecting recruiting fees.
- Others
- Make contribution to execute tasks assigned to HR team from Global/AP/MT-JP management
- Back up other HR team members, in needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS degree from college or university. MA/MS/MBA or other business degree also an asset.
- At least 3 years of experience in talent acquisition at middle or larger sized organizations where the candidate hired at least 15+ regular employees a year.
- Experience to work for a growing, fast-paced, and international company is preferred.
- Experience to use recruiting DB (Avature, if possible) and SAP is preferred.
- Experience of direct sourcing is preferred.
- Experience to work at internal TA team is preferred.
SKILLS, COMPETENCE
- Proficient knowledge with talent acquisition.
- Open and effective communication style, excellent public presentation skills, strong people skills, cross-organizational teamwork and the ability to interact with and influence the direction of key opinion leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a cooperative team environment and focus on individual, time dependent projects with minimal direct supervision.
- Analytical, assertiveness, creativity and effective problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to manage changes.
- Native level Japanese in writing, reading, and speaking.
- Business English skills in writing, reading, and speaking.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Hands-on and strong multi-tasking skills.
- ONE TEAM spirit.
- Ability to expand the job scope outside the TA area in a long run.
