    Senior Product Specialist - MatChar/AutoChem

    Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
    • Increase qualified customer database for targeted segments.
    • Follow up on sales leads, fast response towards fulfilling customers enquires. Provide sound consultation on MT’s product solution and application.
    • Secure new customers in the private and government sectors by identifying needs and engineering high quality solutions. Expand market awareness of MT’s solutions and relationships with customers.
    Strategic Outcome:
    • Learn and apply product application, segment specified knowledge and regulatory compliance standards. Successful in penetrating into targeted segments, completing assigned sales responsibilities; regular updating of sales tools and sales reports. Meeting sales targets and agreed key performance indicators.
    • Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to articulate technology and product positioning to both the business and technical users and ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Sales and Marketing
    • Grow target accounts and consistently build sales pipelines.
    • Qualifying database and updating CRM.
    • Establishing new accounts by identifying potential customers, planning and organizing sales call schedules.
    • Identifying current and potential customer requirements by establishing personal rapport and understanding key requirements.
    • Support Business Area Manager in execution of marketing campaigns, leads generation and pipeline management.
    • Effectively deliver high quality solutions to suspects, prospects and customers.
    • Attune to market and/or competition movements and leverage the information to build market presence.
    Technical Advisory and Solution Advocate
    • Responsible for actively driving and growing sales pipelines.
    • Provide technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the technical support team. Becoming a competent key technical advisor and product advocate for MT products.
    • Communicate regulatory compliance requirement and applications effectively, demonstrating MT’s market leadership and expertise in the relevant fields.
    • Responsible for representing the solution to customers and to engage customers in the field with customer events such as conferences, seminars, courses, etc.
    • Develop customer's staff by providing technical information and training
    • Conduct negotiation to secure a win-win agreement with customers.
    Service Standards and Customer Relationship Management
    • Determine improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of equipment or services.
    • Prepare cost estimates with related customer documents.
    • Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
    • Maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM system.
    What You Need to Succeed
    • Degree in Science preferable in Chemistry (Analytical or Organic Chemistry) or Biochemical/Bioprocess Engineering or Materials Science/Polymer Engineering or Pharmaceutical Sciences/Industrial Pharmacy and/or Chemical Engineering or related field from a reputable University
    • At least 3 - 5 years working experience in sales and/or laboratory position in a leadership capacity
    • Instrumentation and/or laboratory sales or technical experience would be preferred
    • Able to network across all levels and work well in a fast-paced environment
    • Understanding of sales and distribution with intermediate project management skills
    • Self-motivated, result oriented and energetic with passion to succeed
    • Sound business acumen particularly in identifying potentials and devising solutions to need
    • Other desired values include a high quality of standard, aggressiveness, agility and critical reasoning
    • Willing to travel within Malaysia as and when required
    • Possess own transport with a valid driving license

    • Thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA)
    • Thermo-mechanical analysis (TMA)
    • Dynamic-mechanical analysis (DMA)
    • Thermo-optical analysis
    • Auto titration, density meter, refractometer, melting point, dropping point, ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometry
    • Chemical Synthesis, Synthesis Reactions, Design of Experiments (DoE), Impurity Profiling
    • Crystallization, Recrystallization, and Polymorphism Chemistry
    • Process Analytical Technology and Quality by Design (QbD)
    • Raman Spectroscopy and FTIR Spectroscopy
    • Flocculation
    • Oligonucleotide Synthesis
    • Viral Inactivation in Bioprocessing
    • Downstream Processing
    • Flow Assurance
    • Lab Automation
