METTLER TOLEDO RECLAIM is a rapid response third-party product inspection company that specializes in creating customized inspection solutions for customers with inventories suspected of containing foreign materials and product defects. Our industry-leading X-ray detection technology, combined with proven data capture/reporting, and immediate response practices, allows us to supply quality inspection services to our customer base across North America. Regionally rapid deployment of mobile inspection equipment with highly trained and qualified personnel to customer sites for inspection applications allows our customers to reduce costs of reinspection and maintain control within their internal food safety program.

The Reclaim Specialist is responsible for the execution and leadership of X-ray Reclaim re-inspection projects conducted either at a METTLER TOLEDO facility or deployed as a mobile operation at a customer site. Acting as the primary on-site representative and project lead, the Reclaim Specialist ensures that all inspection activities are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and X-ray Reclaim operating procedures. The Reclaim Specialist is accountable for project setup, equipment validation, operational execution, personnel coordination, traceability documentation, reporting, and customer communication throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Operations Management, Reclaim Specialists, logistics providers, and customer personnel, the Reclaim Specialist plays a critical role in delivering successful product recovery outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. What you will do
  • Execute and lead assigned X-ray Reclaim re-inspection projects at both customer facilities and METTLER TOLEDO-operated facilities.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, maintaining a strong customer service focus and delivering clear, professional verbal and written communication throughout project execution
  • Conduct project startup activities, including equipment setup, validation testing, operational readiness checks, and customer sign-off.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot X-ray inspection equipment and associated material handling systems using sound mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with approved Inspection Studies, customer requirements, and X-ray Reclaim procedures.
  • Coordinate and supervise temporary labor personnel, and customer-assigned resources during project execution while fostering cooperative teamwork across departments.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, traceability documentation, validation records, productivity reports, and project logs with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor project performance, throughput, inspection effectiveness, and quality metrics to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure proper segregation, handling, identification, and disposition of suspect and rejected product.
  • Maintain chain-of-custody controls and product accountability throughout the inspection process.
  • Communicate project status, operational issues, equipment concerns, and customer requirements to Operations Management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, GMP, customer, health and safety, and company requirements.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance verification, cleaning, and readiness checks to ensure deployment readiness.
  • Assist in coordinating equipment mobilization, demobilization, shipping, and logistics activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, inspection effectiveness, reporting accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support customer audits, project reviews, investigations, and final project reporting activities as required.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence while representing METTLER TOLEDO and X-ray Reclaim at customer sites.
  • Travel extensively as required to support customer projects throughout North America, including frequent overnight stays.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Reclaim Specialist Work flexible hours include early mornings, late nights, extended shifts (10+ hours), and overtime as required to meet business needs and project deadlines.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Ability to successfully execute re-inspection projects in dynamic production, warehouse, and customer environments while effectively managing changing priorities, schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, SimulTask imaging software, cloudbased storage platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and data management systems.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, contractors, production personnel, management, and technical subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environments where customer needs, schedules, and priorities can change rapidly.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in inspection activities, traceability documentation, reporting, and validation processes.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to direct temporary labor, , and customer-assigned personnel during project execution.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, adaptability, and personal accountability, particularly when working independently at customer sites.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and effectively interact with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Working knowledge of inspection technologies, X-ray systems, material handling equipment, and associated software platforms is considered an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment, operational, and process related issues.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work for extended periods during project execution.
  • Post-secondary education in a technical, engineering, food science, manufacturing, operations, or related discipline is preferred; equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant industry experience will be considered.
