Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Within the AutoChem Business Unit, we build software that powers automated lab reactors used in scientific and industrial research around the world. Our systems help chemists and engineers design, execute, monitor, and analyze experiments with greater precision, safety, and efficiency.
Our product landscape spans reactor touchscreen terminal software, a web-based experiment platform for creation, execution, data management, visualization, and reporting, local instrument control software, and field service and production assembly support software.
We work at the intersection of hardware and software, where engineering quality has a direct impact on product reliability and customer trust.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer 100% (all genders) based at our global headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee (close to Zurich), Switzerland.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will make a significant impact across this ecosystem and help raise the bar for engineering execution, collaboration, and delivery. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain software across our product portfolio with strong fundamentals in quality, testability, maintainability, and delivery reliability
  • Work closely with product owners, domain experts, engineers, and service stakeholders to turn unclear or evolving requirements into clear, robust technical solutions; identify risks and dependencies early; and propose pragmatic implementation approaches
  • Deliver in a modern agile / scrum environment, actively contributing to planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across locations and time zones
  • Take ownership of technical areas while providing transparency, visibility, and predictable progress
  • Mentor teammates, contribute to technical discussions, and help strengthen engineering practices across the team

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, including working with multiple product owners and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong ownership, autonomy, accountability, and quality mindset
