Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The global Marketing Team of the Laboratory Division (LAB) oversees planning, creating and executing worldwide marketing activities in cooperation with our business units and sales organizations. To strengthen our Laboratory Division marketing team, we are looking for a business-oriented, pro-active and dynamic

Segment Marketing Manager (100%)

In this role, you will take ownership of key marketing projects within a complex international matrix organization, collaborating with highly skilled teams to drive growth in the B2B Pharma and Biotech segments.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Act as the segment expert for customers in quality control and R&D laboratories in the Pharma and Biotech segment
  • Research and write value and campaign content on segment-specific topics, working closely with internal and external research sources to ensure accurate market and market segment profiles are maintained
  • Lead and support sales and marketing related projects in close collaboration with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and the Group
  • Lead LAB marketing training to educate the LAB Division on segment topics using the online training portal as well as online and face-to-face training
  • Work with teams across the LAB Division to provide industry expertise for marketing strategy, planning, campaigns, and marketing and sales material creation
  • Conduct continuous market monitoring and impact analysis of needs, trends, compliance, and other key influencers, and proactively recommend corrective action when appropriate
  • Support LAB projects for other strategic growth segments
What You Need to Succeed
What You Need to Succeed: 
  • Academic background in natural sciences, ideally at Bachelor’s or Master’s level, e.g. Pharma, Biotech, Chemistry, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of laboratory processes, applications, and instruments
  • Strong interest in marketing, combined with solid knowledge of marketing topics
  • Ideally several years of experience in B2B marketing within an international matrix organization
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in simple words and visuals
  • Ability to manage projects and tasks of high strategic importance in a proactive, structured and resilient manner
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, minimum C1 level; German and other languages are an advantage
