Stainless Steel TIG Welder 2nd shift

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The fabricator will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate and weld metal parts and structures. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of fabrication processes to ensure high-quality production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Read blueprints from designers and engineers
  • Utilize software for the retrieval and management of technical drawings
  • Utilize both metric and imperial tape measures accurately
  • Precisely layout the measurements for part and stud locations
  • Utilize chill and purge blocks effectively
  • Perform welding with the TIG process
  • Operate a stud gun
  • Utilize band saws, drill presses, and iron workers to modify components to precise specifications.
  • Ensure standard work procedures are being followed to achieve efficient times and maintain quality work.
  • Following the work schedule as assigned and ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled 
  • Weld doors, covers, and small machine components using 12-gauge sheet metal material and thicker.
  • Ensure all parts produced are confirmed in the ERP system, tagged, and staged in proper locations.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Perform Quality at The Source checks on made parts
  • Accurately record actual labor estimates on all production orders
  • Keep work area(s) clean and organized to 5S standards 
  • Standing, walking, and bending for long periods of time
  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
  • Ability to read and understand weld symbols
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings 
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve 
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings 
  • Efficient use of hand grinders and air tools while possessing a foundational understanding of polishing techniques to achieve high-quality pre-polished parts.
  • ERP system experience (SAP Preferred)
  • Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements
  • Able to follow written and oral instruction
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Basic setup knowledge
  • Detailed oriented
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Always wears appropriate PPE and maintains a safe workspace while ensuring proper equipment use and fire safety during welding.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**
Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
And
  • Able to pass Level 1 Weld Test
  • Weld Certificate or hands on experience preferred
