Laser Jet Operator Level 1 - 2nd shift (M-Th 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Role/Purpose:
The position will require a self-motivated individual to effectively load and unload the laser and or the water jet with various material, also to finish those materials including but not limited to operating a belt grinder or an air grinder. this individual will be able to ensure that priorities and directions are being followed. Cross Train and Rotate Positions Departmentally as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to take Direction
  • Operate the Laser and Waterjet cutting machines 
  • Uploading files to produce parts
  • Deliver finished parts to the correct location 
  • Ability to Read Engineered Drawings
  • Ability to safely load and unload materials 
  • Receive materials in and deliver to proper locations
  • Cross Train on the Time Saver metal finishing machine. 
  • Deburr, Drill, Tap and Countersink parts
  • Expedite Priority Work and Follow Assigned Schedule 
  • Perform inspection checks on processed parts
  • Perform daily TPM and Inspection checks and necessary maintenance of laser and waterjet equipment
  • Report Labor manually or using SAP software
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient with Laser and Waterjet material cutting
  • Ability to use AutoCAD
  • Organizational Skills 
  • Ability to load and unload the laser and time saver machines
  • Ability to follow direction and ensure priorities are being met 
  • Help reduce waste
  • Proficient blueprint knowledge
  • Attention to tolerances and interpretation
  • Maintenance of the machines including but not limited to clean outs, pump repair, brick removal and installation. 
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.

**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**

Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school or apprentice program 
                             and/or
  • 1 - 2 years minimum experience in similar position
