METTLER TOLEDO RECLAIM is a rapid-response product inspection service specializing in customized X-ray inspection solutions for food manufacturers across North America. Using industry-leading X-ray technology, advanced reporting tools, and highly trained personnel, we help customers quickly recover products, protect their brands, and maintain the highest food safety standards.
As a Reclaim Specialist, you will lead and execute X-ray product re-inspection projects at customer facilities and METTLER TOLEDO locations throughout North America. Serving as the primary on-site representative, you will play a critical role in delivering successful product recovery solutions while ensuring food safety, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
This is a highly visible role that combines technical expertise, project leadership, customer interaction, and operational execution in a fast-paced environment. - Lead and execute X-ray re-inspection projects at customer sites and company facilities.
- Serve as the primary customer contact, providing professional communication and exceptional service throughout each project.
- Set up, validate, operate, and troubleshoot X-ray inspection systems and related equipment.
- Ensure inspections are completed accurately and in compliance with customer requirements, food safety standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee temporary labor and customer-assigned personnel during project execution.
- Maintain accurate records, traceability documentation, validation reports, and project metrics.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and inspection effectiveness to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Manage product accountability, chain of custody, and proper handling of suspect and rejected materials.
- Communicate project updates, operational concerns, and customer needs to Operations Management.
- Support equipment maintenance, deployment readiness, logistics, shipping, and mobilization activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent METTLER TOLEDO professionally during customer audits, project reviews, and on-site engagements.
- Travel extensively throughout North America to support customer projects.

What You Need to Succeed

- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Windows-based systems, data management tools, and cloud-based platforms.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and results.

- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and operational issues; experience with X-ray inspection or related technologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Post-secondary education in a technical, engineering, food science, manufacturing, operations, or related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
