- Ensure that team members have the required product, sales, and business system training necessary to perform their job responsibilities and to be compliant with established processes.
- Implement and evolve team responsibilities in line with corporate guidelines and definitions.
- Develop, coach, and lead direct reports to sustainably achieve and exceed minimum level of performance expectations.
- Manage activities to support sales and marketing initiatives, including qualification, and nurturing of sales leads and opportunities obtained from various lead sources when applicable.
- Responsible for actively driving revenue by managing planned and agreed to direct sales activities, including identifying, quoting, and closing sales opportunities.
- Measure team development and sales progress on a regular basis utilizing CRM and BI to make sure that we are tracking towards set targets.
- Identify and address gaps and obstacles that are preventing target and KPI achievement, implement any necessary corrective measures to deliver the expected results.
- Build strong relationships with other functional areas within the business and coordinate activities as well as manage processes among these areas; such as sales management, service operations, product sales, service back office, IT, and more.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological science is preferred; or a related degree and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training in Life Sciences.
- Minimum 3 years sales management is required.
- Proven ability to direct others in a multitask environment.
- High energy level with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to utilize a data base system to record and extract information.
- Experience with multi-million dollar negotiation a plus.
- Contract negotiations would be a plus.
- Valid driver license and clear driving record required
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%
