Mettler-Toledo Cargoscan AS is a world leader in developing and manufacturing dimensioning equipment and automatic data capture solutions for the Transport and Logistics Industry.
Since 1985 CARGOSCAN has supplied dimensioning and data capture solutions to logistics companies all over the world. We design, develop and manufacture volume measurement instruments that scans three-dimensional items like small parcels on conveyor belt, freight on pallets etc. The instruments are based on visible light laser time-of-flight scanners and represent the "gold standard" in our industry.

The Senior Application Software Engineer is the position that will be located at Oslo, Norway and reports to Team lead Application Software.

We are seeking an Application Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of embedded application software for data capture systems. This role requires strong programming skills, understanding of embedded systems, and experience with hardware interfacing. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a passion for automation and a commitment to quality. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop robust, high-performance software solutions tailored to the unique requirements of industrial environments.
- Interact with stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the project/product requirements.
- Responsible for technical specification, software testing and documentation
- Debug and resolve software issues, ensuring the reliability and stability of the software.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the enhancement of coding standards and best practices.
- Support to sales, production and Mettler-Toledo technicians in the field.
What You Need to Succeed

Must have Skills:
-Strong programming skills in languages C / Modern C++ for windows and Linux
-Proven experience working with industrial application software.
-Experienced working with QT, Git.
-Fluent English communication skill.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor/ Master or equivalent in one of the areas Computer Science, Software Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant programming experience.

-Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal skills.
-Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
-Strong analytical abilities (root cause).
-Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to go extra mile.
