Software Engineer Professional-Test

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
  • Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and automation coverage.
  • Develop and maintain reusable, scalable, and reliable automated test scripts.
  • Perform UI and API automation using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Contribute to contract testing activities to validate service interactions and integrations.
  • Identify technical issues, dependencies, and risks, and communicate them clearly to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in defect triage, regression testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain test documentation, execution evidence, and related quality records.
  • Review test cases, automation code, and associated test artifacts to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support timely and high-quality software delivery.
  • Continuously improve automation practices by adopting standards, best practices, and maintainable design approaches.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices. Experience working in agile environments.
  • Strong test automation background. 
  • Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript. 
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, and clean code principles.
  • Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
  • Hands-on experience in API testing.
  • Proven track record of requirement analysis, test design and defect management.
  • Ability to create clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Nice to have skills
  • Knowledge of Laboratory domain / Automated Chemistry systems.
  • Knowledge of testing in connected systems.
  • Exposure to or experience in contract testing.
  • Exposure to or experience in non-functional testing (Compatibility, Performance, Security, Accessibility).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation integration into delivery workflows.
  • ISTQB or similar certification.
