    Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
    METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Designer to join our Regional Centre of Excellence located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

    The role will be primarily office-based, with flexible working hours (opportunity to partially align with European working hours, with the added benefit of avoiding heavy traffic times).

    Working for a market leading product inspection company, this role will see the right candidate oversee the creation, filming and editing of engaging digital learning content to enhance the global online training network. In addition, a key part of the role will involve developing internal platforms (SharePoint) to manage automated workflows and enhance internal communication process efficiency.

    As a Digital Content Designer you will work alongside subject matter experts within the service team as well as experts from other departments, to design and create eLearning, eDemo, videos and presentations, as well as manage updates to digital tools such as ROI calculators. This role is key to driving best practice with engaging content that enhances the learning experience and ensures our engineers can deliver the highest level of service globally. This content will serve our global engineers and technicians, helping them advance their knowledge and skills in a fast-paced technical environment. A limited number of projects will have wider scope, such as developing point of sales tools to drive additional service revenue, developing digital training content for customer use. There will be scope to explore opportunities that enhance Service Technician skills development and refresher training such as gamification.

    Key Responsibilities and Skills
    • Content Planning – Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify key learning objectives and develop comprehensive content plans that meet the needs for global technicians and engineers.
    • Content Creation – Design and produce engaging interactive digital learning materials including videos and images that enhance the learning experience.
    • Conversion of existing training materials such as service manuals into digital content.
    • Comfortable streaming and assisting with live training content.
    • Collaborating outside of the service team to provide input and guidance on best practice.
    • Previous Shooting and Editing Experience – utilize your videography and editing skills to create visually appealing informative video content that reinforces the purposes of the learning objectives.
    • Motivation to consistently improve within your role by gathering feedback from learners and stakeholders.
    • Confidence to creatively lead the project of multi-course development material.
    • SharePoint site design and workflow development / optimization.
    What You Need to Succeed
    Desirable Criteria
    • Using software packages such as Synthesia, Articulate, and streaming software such as OBS, as well as experience in using gamification software.
    • Basic knowledge of HTML coding (Adobe Dreamweaver)
    • Background in internal content creation for development and learning.
    • Interest in technical equipment / factory operations.
    • Previous experience of using / developing SharePoint sites (desirable, but training and mentoring support will be provided)
    Essential Criteria
    • Previous use of camera equipment to shoot and stream content – Cameras, webcams, lighting, iPhone.
    • Understanding of audio equipment – Mixers, microphones.
    • Previous use of editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, InDesign)
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present complex information clearly.
    • Strong attention to detail to assist your commitment to producing high-quality learning content.
