HR Advisor (18-24 Months FTC)

- Support and produce timely and comprehensive documentation outputs from first stage disciplinary, capability and grievance processes, in line with best practice and legal advice from SLUK appointed legal partners.
- End-to-End management of employee absence cases in accordance with Absence Policy and company Occupational Health Service.
- Facilitate complex administration of HRIS records for payroll, company benefits, Absence Management, time & attendance and other reporting requirements.
- Handle maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave (and return) preparations, processes and queries.
- End-to-End management of Flexible Working Requests.
- Liaise and consult with external agencies and company benefit providers;
- Assist the HR Officer and HR Business Partner with the development and maintenance of people-related policies and procedures;
- Assist in the recruitment process and the onboarding process in conjunction with HR Officer and Talent Acquisition (TA) colleagues.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role working on absence management, recruitment and onboarding, ER cases, benefits and rewards.
- Experience working within a unionised and preferably manufacturing/engineering/industrial environment.
- Strong experience using SAP HCM, Workday, MS Office 365, PeopleDoc.
- Proven experience in supporting organisations through HRIS system implementations.
- Ability to build and maintain trust and confidence.
- Good active listener and effective communicator (both verbally and in writing).
- Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Awareness and understanding of developments in Employment Law and HR Best Practice in the UK.
- Salary range £30,000 - £36,000
