Applications Engineer

- Validate Sales Orders prior to Order Processing
- Support Project Management during project kick-off meetings with customers to solidify project scope baseline
- Ability to review and articulate technical documents (e.g. User Requirement Specification (URS), Request for Test (RFT), etc.…)
- Perform site surveys and assessments on site with Customer and Sales
- Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate project/program effectiveness
- Ensure coordination with Sales, R&D, Software, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Service to satisfy customer requirements
- Clarify technical scopes to Sales and Customers
- Work closely with Product Management and R&D on current and future development product solutions
- Support Service and Quality Technician to troubleshoot malfunctioning system solutions
- Conduct Vision product tests, e-Demos, host Customer Visits, conduct FATs for customers in an effective, detailed and timely manner
- Support Trade Shows for equipment setups
- Train Sales Team and Production employees in Vision Systems.
- Record test data in a detailed format along with test methodology, application criteria and system requirements. Keep Regional Sales Manager, Sales Engineer and Sales Rep informed of concerns.
- Manage product test inventory and storage. (Ability to lift 25 to 50lbs for extended periods of time and wire voltages to systems).
- Ensure lab metrics are kept up-to-date in the Application Center Database
- Ensure Application Center meets 5S initiatives.
- Keep work area clean and organized, ensuring we make a positive impression on our customers.

- AutoCAD proficient
- Electrical and Mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Process orientation – understand all areas of responsibility in own process, goals of process and how process supports organization. Look for and identify inefficiencies in process and recommend solution for continuous improvement
- Bachelor degree in Engineering related field
- 5 + years Project Engineering or Application Engineering experience
- 5 + years automated machinery design experience in a manufacturing environment
- Material handling experience is a plus
- Vision inspection experience is a plus
- Experience with IP and NEMA ratings
- 10% Travel
