Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As a Market Development Manager for Biologics within our AutoChem division, you will be responsible for defining and executing the global biologics market development strategy. You will identify, evaluate, and validate new biologics applications and target market segments, and support the global commercial organization in bringing validated opportunities to market.
You will serve as the global subject-matter expert for biologics applications and act as the key connection between customers, regional commercial teams, product management, and business development. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain the global biologics growth strategy in alignment with company objectives and growth targets.
  • Identify attractive biologics microsegments and prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit, market attractiveness, and commercial potential.
  • Lead identification, evaluation, and validation of emerging biologics applications and workflows.
  • Assess customer needs, unmet market requirements, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and refine value propositions for targeted applications.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), strategic customers, industry organizations, and influencers.
  • Monitor emerging market trends, technologies, regulatory developments, and competitive activities within biologics and bioprocessing markets.
  • Partner closely with Regional Bio Business Development, Product Management, Marketing Communications, TACs, and Global Sales organizations.
  • Define biologics market positioning, messaging, and strategic marketing priorities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop campaigns, thought leadership programs, conferences, webinars, and technical content.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in biologics, bioprocessing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, PAT, market development, technical marketing, product management, business development, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to identify new market opportunities and develop customer-focused value propositions and commercialization strategies.
  • Experience working directly with biologics development, manufacturing, or process development organizations.
  • Experience working with global organizations and international markets.
  • Experience with Raman spectroscopy, PAT, process development, bioprocessing, or related technologies preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, customer engagement, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
