Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
In our Software Development Center, we develop a next-generation Cloud-ready solution that controls high-precision laboratory measurement instrumentation, collects and processes measurement data. The software is distributed worldwide and supports multiple languages. To further expand our leadership role, we invest in our software platforms for new products. That is why we are looking for a motivated Senior Requirements Engineer /Business Analyst 100% (all genders)  This role is based in our global operating headquarter in Zurich, Greifensee.  

Your previous experience as a requirements engineer or in a comparable function in the context of software can be applied professionally with us and you can develop into an expert role. Exciting projects and innovative solutions require a high willingness to learn, initiative and the pleasure of dealing with new challenges. You will be part of a major project with professional, systematic processes and still have enough freedom for your creativity. Important cooperation partners are product managers, SW developers and the development teams of Instrument Software. We use Polarion as requirements management tool & Azure DevOps as ALM tool.  

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • Together with epic owners, product management, project managers, UX designers, internal know-how carriers and developers, you will elaborate requirements for new products  
  • You define requirements that are comprehensible to all parties and can be used for implementation, testing and documentation  
  • Based on the market requirements you have structured, you derive product concepts in cooperation with the development department  
  • You develop the basis for decision-making and ensure the knowledge transfer between the various parties 
  • You participate in the exchange of knowledge and know-how within the requirements team
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role: 
  • Higher degree in computer science or related technical fields (FH / BSc, MSc)
  • Experience in software specifications and requirements engineering (or as a business analyst), including experience with requirements management tools  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Experience in the laboratory environment is desirable  
  • Practical, good technical understanding and quick comprehension
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills  
  • Fluent language skills in English
