Data Science Internship in Rate Control optimization
Location Nänikon, Canton of Zurich Date posted April 08, 2024 Job ID 15952- You collaborate with the data science team to understand project requirements and objectives
- You design and implement algorithms for process optimization, focusing on controller performance and robustness, adapting to different environments automatically
- You develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data collection, processing, and analysis
- You apply machine learning and statistical models to predict process behaviors and identify optimization opportunities
- You conduct rigorous testing and validation of models and algorithms to ensure reliability and accuracy
- You document all research findings, code, and methodologies and participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies
- You are currently enrolled in or graduated from Master's program in Data Science, Control Engineering/Automation, or a related field
- You have a strong foundation in control theory, especially in PID control and optimization techniques
- You are proficiency in Python, including experience with data science and machine learning libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch)
- You are experienced in building and maintaining data pipelines
- You have a solid understanding of data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning algorithms
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team
