Field Service Sales Specialist

Mettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Field Service Sales Specialist to cover the Greater Toronto Area responsible for selling service contracts utilizing a combination of consultative and needs fulfillment selling techniques to achieve goals. As a Field Sales Specialist you will be promoting MT solutions to defined accounts within defined market segments. The role generates leads for other METTLER TOLEDO business areas and leverages relationship to expand business opportunities for our entire organization. Overall, the role ensures increased revenue and profitability for the Company through effective sales activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works to meet annual targets by actively participating in account selection process and identifying key accounts while utilizing a variety of key account strategies
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to educate, inform, and solicit orders
- Actively works to improve the quality and completeness of data within the CRM while utilizing the tool to manage all aspects of the sales process and pipeline for their territory
- Actively participates in annual account selection and builds a detailed penetration plan for designated accounts
- Actively participates in bi-weekly pipeline reviews and penetration plan reviews
- Develops comprehensive territory review upon request at least once per year
- Completes other non-customer reports and process on time (i.e. expenses, evaluations, and won/lost order reports)
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field is preferred
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in selling service contracts or related sales experience is required
- Must be able to prioritize workflow on a daily basis
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work responsibilities is crucial
- Proficiency in both English and French language is an asset
- Must be willing to travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
