We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Manchester, assembling non-conveyorized systems. In this role, you will interpret 3D models and general assembly diagrams to assemble mechanical components and systems with precision. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical components and systems according to 3D models and assembly diagrams.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble components.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the assembly process.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve assembly techniques and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
What You Need to Succeed
  • HNC or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanical fitting or relevant fields are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role, ideally with experience in assembling non-conveyorized systems.
  • Strong understanding of general assembly diagrams.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 15Kg.
