Mechanical Fitter
Location Manchester, England Date posted September 26, 2024 Job ID 17562- Assemble mechanical components and systems according to 3D models and assembly diagrams.
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble components.
- Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the assembly process.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve assembly techniques and processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- HNC or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanical fitting or relevant fields are preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role, ideally with experience in assembling non-conveyorized systems.
- Strong understanding of general assembly diagrams.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 15Kg.
- Salary £35,248
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays
