Product Finisher Level l - 1st shift (M-F 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Role/Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing burr free metal finishes per drawings utilizing sanders, grinders, and acid wash-down tooling. Must be able to perform dimensional inspection of parts with simple measuring instruments.  Must provide documentation of complete tasks in shop software.
Must master learning to read blueprints, perform acid washing, exhibits proficiency with tape measures, and the SAP software system.  Able to grasp the paperwork flow system and proper placement of parts within the company staging system. Performs regular duties in the company's 5S program.  Usual learning curve time frame is 1 year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform acid-washing and perform "wash-down" operations cleaning weldments of heat marks    
  • Proficiency with tape measures
  • Ability to learn and operate SAP software system or other systems implemented
  • Achieve burr free edging of items
  • Ability to create finish “graining” as prescribed on drawings
  • Perform dimensional inspection checks on all parts
  • Utilize grinders, sanders, air tools, and perform maintenance
  • Ensure in house job routers are correct and completed
  • Operate daily in a safety conscious manner
  • Follow SOP and OPLs
  • All other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Blueprint knowledge or ability to learn during first 90 days 
  • Hand tool experience
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, laying, squat, bend, kneeling) for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to grasp the paperwork flow system and proper placement of parts within the company staging system
  • Knowledge of metal materials preferred
**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**

This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.


Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in similar position
