Credit Manager
Location Columbus, Ohio Date posted December 06, 2024 Job ID 18226- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and optimize cash flow.
- Analyze customer creditworthiness and make decisions regarding credit limits.
- Oversee the collections process, including follow-up on overdue accounts and negotiation of payment plans.
- Manage a team of credit and collections specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective operations.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collection forecasts, and bad debt.
- Collaborate with sales, service, and finance teams to resolve customer disputes and improve collection efforts.
- Maintain relationships with key customers to encourage timely payments and address issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to credit and collections.
- Analyze trends in collections and suggest improvements to processes and policies.
- Manage the collection teams with overall responsibility for energizing and motivating the teams ensuring overall team goals are met.
- Identify and implement business process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing credit and collections.
- Experience with ERP systems and collection software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience managing a team.
