Account Manager - Industrial OEM

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the OEM Business Manager this position is responsible for developing and managing direct OEM accounts across an assigned territory, in the US, with the objective of achieving the revenue targets. The Account Manager will provide value selling consulting services to potential and existing customers of the Automotive Refinish, Shipping & Mail, and SmartShelf product lines. In order to do so, the candidate will have to identify, develop and support OEM business opportunities. As a recognized subject matter expert on the products & applications of the OEM Group, the candidate will be responsible to support the OEM business unit ensuring sustainable growth in their region.

  • Develop and manage specialist OEM accounts on a direct basis, focused on our Project OEM Product solutions in Refinish, Shipping & Mail, and SmartShelf product lines.
  • Grow sales revenue of the OEM Products through active participation in the sales process including pre and post sales activities. executing the Sales Force Guidance Group Initiative.
  • Achieve the C1 and OP targets, aligned with the established targets of the OEM Business Unit.
  • Provide consistent consultative support for the OEM product solutions in Refinish, Shipping & Mail, and SmartShelf for the assigned National Key Accounts.
  • Generate cross opportunities for other Product Divisions.
  • In co-ordination with the OEM SBU & OEM Business Manager, assist with the marketing and business strategy for OEM Project solutions for Automotive Refinish, Shipping & Mail, and SmartShelf product lines.
  • Promote and proactively conduct product-selling activities to include calling on existing and new accounts.
  • Develop sales opportunities through the provision of webinars, technical consulting, application reviews, and on-site events.
  • Develop strong application and product knowledge and serve as a recognized expert for OEM Refinish, Shipping & Mail, and SmartShelf products.
  • Share experiences, ideas, potential customers, business opportunities and good practices with other OEM team members.
  • Good discipline in the CRM System, reporting the sales activities, following up the opportunities and maintaining an accurate pipeline.
  • Correct management of discounts and demo material.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college preferred; Associate's degree (AA) with a technical major or equivalent from two-year College is acceptable. 
  • Product Management and Key Account Management background preferably. 
  • Experience in the value selling approach to sales; methodical and structured preparation of sales opportunities (calls+ visits) and follow up. 
  • Previous weighing, and technical application experience a distinct advantage. 
  • Previous experience in computer connectivity and hazardous environment applications preferred. 
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software and knowledgeable with PC applications, related computer connectivity, and integration. 
  • Solid presentation skills, organizational skills and professional image.
