Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Our Software Development Center in Coimbatore, India is looking for a creative and motivated Test Engineer Professional to support the Research & Development division in an exciting project.

A team of embedded test engineers in our Laboratory unit is ramping up with their manual and automation testing, and that is where your expertise is needed.

Responsibility

  • Review and analyze system requirements. 
  • Design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts.
  • Regularly review and update test cases to ensure they align with changing requirements and enhancements.
  • Document Test cases, create bug reports and test reports.
  • Conduct test case review with peers to ensure clarity, coverage, and alignment with requirements.
  • Maintain structured approach in overall testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop test plans and test cases.
  • Contribute towards the project quality metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in testing processes and methodologies.
  • Implement and maintain automated tests against the system specifications, using various design techniques, according to project needs.
  • Identify and handle the dependencies and risks in your daily tasks.
  • Ensure content and structure of all testing / test automation artifacts are documented and maintained.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders across time zones.

What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or any related field.
Graduates with Software Testing background (With Python knowledge)

Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in testing domain, with a minimum of 1 year in test automation (predominantly Python)

Required skills:
  • Proficient in understanding and analyzing the requirements
  • Good test design skills and an affinity for quality required by a tester
  • Capability and experience in developing and executing Test Cases.
  • Ability to create understandable bug reports, test reports
  • Capability in identifying weak spots of the software under test, analyzing failures and dynamically resolving obstacles or technical issues
  • Experience in any ALM tools, preferably MS Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge on test process and metrics – understand and consistently follow the defined test processes and provide needed inputs for metrics.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Prior hands-on experience implementing automated tests using any Python based framework / tool
  • Good understanding of Development life cycle and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in an international team across time zones, preferably has prior experience collaborating with international teams.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
Nice to have skills:
  • ISTQB Certified or equivalent experience in Embedded system testing.
  • Experience on instrument firmware testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge on Test automation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Analytical chemistry / Laboratory domain
