Responsibilities include strategic thinking and sourcing initiative management primarily for Capital Expenditures [CapEx] and Energy purchases within Europe to optimize spend, mitigate risks and achieve cost savings. Sourcing Manager - Global Indirect Procurement 100% (all genders)
In this role, your responsibilities include:
- Analyze spend to identify cost-saving and spend optimization opportunities
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to gather requirements, challenge demand patterns, and clarify specifications
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services within the defined category scope; lead regional sourcing projects, competitive tenders, RFX processes, negotiations, and approvals to maximize value and mitigate risk in a decentralized environment
- Review, analyze, and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive commercial terms aligned with business objectives, while identifying and escalating legal, financial, and operational risks as needed
- Manage key supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and shift spend toward strategic suppliers
- Support procurement digitalization initiatives that reduce administrative workload, including electronic bidding systems
- Provide strategic and tactical procurement support to business stakeholders in line with procurement policies and processes
- Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies to increase value and improve outcomes
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of category strategies, tools, systems, and processes at regional and global levels
- Report procurement performance through centralized reporting tools
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or key account management within global organizations
- Experience in international negotiation, contracting, procurement, and stakeholder management
- Experience managing complex global projects and influencing cross-functional teams and suppliers across cultures and organizational levels
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and Jaggaer or similar sourcing tools are a plus
- Strong financial acumen, analytical and organizational skills, with a structured and accurate working style.
- Proven ability to deliver results, communicate effectively at all organizational levels, and build strong business partnerships across decentralized global environments
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with an entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for learning and teaching procurement tools and systems
- Willingness to travel internationally as business needs arise (approximately 5%)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
