Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection (PI) develops manufacturing technologies that help companies ensure the products they make are safe, high quality, and meet customer expectations. Our equipment is commonly used in industries such as food, pharmaceutical, and consumer products. Products such as checkweighers, x-ray inspection systems, and vision inspection systems automatically inspect products as they move through production to identify problems before those products reach customers. These systems also contain quality inspection and monitoring software which collects data for productivity and efficiency analysis.

METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection (PI) has an opening for a Manufacturing Services Engineering Intern. The duties and responsibilities for this particular position may include but are not limited to:

  • Support daily production schedules to achieve on-time delivery and meet operational targets.

  • Investigate and help resolve production and material-related issues, working with team members to keep operations running smoothly

  • Learn and support Tune & Balance processes, including soak testing, while identifying opportunities to maximize efficiency

  • Participate in process improvement projects by analyzing soak test results, identifying opportunities for greater consistency and reliability, and implementing solutions to enhance overall operational performance

  • Review work instructions and compare them to real-world manufacturing process execution, and make and document recommendations and updates to improve accuracy and usability 

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts when issues arise.

  • Assist Process Improvement Engineer as needed.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in an Engineering major (Mechanical Engineering and or/Electrical Engineering strongly preferred) with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 - May 2029.
  • Must have a genuine interest in working in a manufacturing environment
  • Self-motivated and able to perform assigned tasks and complete work on schedule
  • Hands-on approach - eager to learn, solve problems, accept new challenges, think innovatively, and be open to feedback
  • Strong data analysis and communication skills
  • Prior leadership experience (on or off-campus)
