Business Development Manager - Gas Analytics

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading critical growth of the company's gas analytics product portfolio in strategic market segments within the US Process Analytics Market. This position is the lead proponent for accelerating business development and sales growth of the US gas analytics market segment. Additional responsibilities will include: 
  • Recommending long-term, strategic initiatives for market segment and account specific penetration strategies and works with NSM to implement. 
  • Taking ownership of generated leads, driving, and supporting the sales channel for gas analytics portfolio sales cycle. The sales cycle includes working with sales team to identify and generate leads; driving and qualifying leads; qualifying applications; providing field technical support; quoting; and providing general sales support required to successfully close opportunities. 
  • Routinely conducing pipeline review (minimum monthly); enters appropriate notes and attachments into CRM database resulting from sales calls, discussions, etc.; and documents progress of key opportunities (i.e., Sales Force Guidance targets) in monthly pulse key report and via timely email/phone communication. 
  • Meeting or exceeding the key performance metric- gas analytics product line unit sales targets- i.e., GPro TDL, polarographic GPO and components with GPro TDL being the most critical growth metric. 
  • Reviewing submitted Application Questionnaires (AQs) and collaborates with customers to complete needed details so that a technical assessment can be conducted. 
    • Entering completed AQs into AQ global database and generates customer recommendation solutions. 
    • Coordinating with team to generate quotation in SAP and submit to customer.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Advanced degree in engineering or science (preferably chemistry) or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of strong background knowledge in chemical, refining, power, and/or other industrial applications. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in or in a direct influencer role of the sales cycle with manufacturing representatives or direct sales force. 
  • 5-10 years' experience with gas analytics is desired. 
  • Gas analytics experience desired. 
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
