Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Applications Engineer, you will become knowledgeable about Thornton liquid analytics products, functionality, applications, and customers specifically in pure and ultrapure water measurement within the pharmaceutical, microelectronics, and power industries. Additional responsibilities will include: 
  • Responding and resolving customer's technical and/or application questions via phone or email. 
  • Providing product and application support to global Mettler Toledo Marketing Organizations, OEM, and end-user customers. 
  • Simulating customer's applications to reproduce them in our facilities and working closely with Thornton Product Management and R&D to resolve associated customer issues. 
  • Identifying and communicating process improvements, new product ideas, application aids, and other opportunities for Mettler Toledo Thornton. 
  • Providing training support for internal and external customers. 
  • Participating in product development teams representing Product Marketing, in helping to define new products.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, life sciences, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years technical, customer service, or related experience. 
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model; minimum of 3 days a week at our Billerica, MA location. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25%. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
