Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
  • Automated Test Development and Execution (30%)
    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for UI, API, and backend components of the ProdX platform, utilizing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or REST-assured. 
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing, rapid feedback, and early defect detection. 
    • Implement the test automation pyramid strategy, balancing unit, service/API, and end-to-end (E2E) testing to maximize coverage and efficiency. 
    • Define and track automation metrics (e.g., code coverage, test pass rate, execution time) to drive improvement in test reliability and effectiveness. 
  • Test Strategy and Quality Assurance (25%)
    • Establish and own the overall test strategy for ProdX software, covering the full SDLC from requirements analysis to release validation. 
    • Define quality assurance processes and standards, ensuring robust product performance and reliability across cloud, edge, and on-premise deployments. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Product, Hardware) to review requirements and design documents, identifying testability issues early. 
  • Functional, Integration, and System Testing (20%)
    • Execute manual and automated functional testing for ProdX features, including device data acquisition, real-time monitoring, analytics, and reporting modules. 
    • Perform integration testing to validate seamless interaction between software components and hardware interfaces (e.g., X-ray, checkweighers, metal detectors). 
    • Conduct system-level testing under various network conditions (online/offline scenarios) to ensure data integrity and system resilience. 
  • Compliance and Regulatory Testing (15%)
    • Lead compliance testing efforts to meet global regulatory requirements, including FDA 21 CFR Part 11 (audit trails, electronic signatures, data integrity), GAMP 5, OIML, and ISO standards. 
    • Support EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance testing, including verification of vulnerability handling processes, review of Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), and validation of security controls for the ProdX platform. 
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for regulatory audits and certification processes, providing necessary test evidence and documentation. 
  • Defect Management and Continuous Improvement (10%)
    • Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution and regression testing. 
    • Analyze defect trends and root causes, driving continuous improvement initiatives in development and testing processes. 
    • Promote a culture of quality and accountability within the POPI R&D team, sharing best practices in test automation and quality engineering. 
What You Need to Succeed
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
    • Candidates with equivalent practical experience and demonstrated expertise in software testing may be considered. 
  • Professional Skills:
    • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, JUnit, TestNG). 
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation and utility scripting. 
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (Git). 
    • Knowledge of software testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum, SAFe) and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). 
    • Understanding of Industrial IoT (IIoT) and manufacturing environments is a plus. 
    • Knowledge of global regulatory standards (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, OIML) and EU CRA requirements is highly preferred. 
  • Competencies:
    • Decision-Making: Ability to prioritize testing efforts based on risk analysis and business impact. 
    • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with developers, architects, and product owners. 
    • Global Communication: Fluent in English, with experience working in multinational environments. 
    • Adaptability: High learning agility to embrace new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies.
