Technical Specialist - X-Ray

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Provide X-ray (XR) technical support and service training in the Asia-Pacific region. Training includes the creation, administration and delivery of materials/content to XR Service Technicians. In addition, technical support in the form of product demonstrations and proposing technical/application solutions to Product Inspection (PI) customers. 

Delivery of service and sales business development assisting the Service and Sales Managers, with many service products we will drive the teams to fully understand the needs of our customers and provide good selling tools to help sell these standard service products (SSP's) also development in the Asia-Pacific region.

  • Professional delivery of Training in the Asia-Pacific region, this is a minimum of 10 - 20 weeks a year (location mainly in Malaysia, possibly across Asia-Pacific region as needed).
  • Maintaining Training SharePoint 
  • Alignment of local product trainings to the Global XR skill set based training curriculum.
  • Administration of executed trainings in Learning Management System for trainings outside the Global XR Training curriculum
  • Reporting of training sessions, engineering forums, product demonstrations and service ride-along
  • Conduct customer visits and customer training via service ride-along at Asia-Pacific customer sites
  • Provide Helpdesk support (for level 2 escalation cases) and technical application support
  • Production of high-quality course material for Instructor lead courses and online eLearning courses often to tight deadlines in collaboration with the XR-Trainers.
  • Maintain and upkeep of AP PI service training center.
  • Occasional support of internal Service Staff also in the producing organization in China. 
  • Work with others outside the service department to help grow service business. 
  • Liaise with sales team about training plans and provide help in selling service products (SSP)
  • Support on technical bulletins topic related to training and SSP's as required.
  • Analyze and solve technical problems and provide solutions that can be implemented in a timely manner. 
  • Helping and supporting local sales team in people development, expand service portfolio and optimize service tool.
  • Assessment of service personnel competency levels with recommendation on training needs. 
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by the SBU XR Service Manager.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a Service environment with a technical support and training background for Product Inspection (PI) Industry (preferred from MNC Industry) 
  • Sound x-ray technical and application knowledge and experience in Product Inspection (PI) industry
  • Experienced in product demonstrations and proposing technical/application solutions
  • Strong skills in developing a training, eLearning and Media Creation
  • Electronic and Mechanical fault finding is an advantage 
  • IT Network knowledge for the related training topics
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach 
  • Able to work independently and meet the tight timeline in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work with all levels within Asia-Pacific 
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel within Asia- Pacific
