Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The District Sales Manager will provide leadership, coaching, and developmental feedback to direct reports for both individual and corporate development. This individual will manage the team's KPI performance and maintain established planning and reporting systems. The District Sales Manager will be responsible for driving continuous process improvements with a strong emphasis on consultative and needs fulfillment selling techniques to achieve sales goals. This individual will act as a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to maximize results. Candidates must have experience in Life Sciences to apply Responsibilities will include: • Recruiting, developing, and retaining high performing sales representatives and sales supervisors • Ensuring that team members have the required product, sales, and business system training necessary to perform their job responsibilities and to be compliant with established processes. • Implementing and evolving team responsibilities in line with corporate guidelines and definitions. • Developing coaching, and leading direct reports to sustainably achieve and exceed the minimum level of performance expectations. • Managing activities to support sales and marketing initiatives, including qualification, and nurturing of sales leads and opportunities obtained from various lead sources when applicable. • Measuring team development and sales progress on a regular basis utilizing CRM and business intelligence to make sure that we are tracking towards set targets. Identifying and address gaps and obstacles that are preventing target and KPI achievement, implementing any necessary corrective measures to deliver the expected results.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in a biological science is preferred; or a related degree and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training in Life Sciences. • Minimum 3 years sales management is required in the Life Sciences • Proven ability to direct others in a multitask environment. • High energy level with a strong customer focus. • Ability to utilize a data base system to record and extract information. • Experience with multi-million dollar negotiation a plus. • Contract negotiations would be a plus. • Valid driver license and clear driving record required • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%
